Pentelikon

Taking its name from the mountain it is extracted from, Pentelic marble elegantly adorns the surfaces of a number of sacred sites in Greek with its pale-hued grey veins and fine-grain texture. The Parthenon, overlooking the Acropolis in Athens, is one such place.
