Bricks Mosaic Corto
This collection of COTTO mosaic patterns features a contemporary decorative surface with "arrotato" and "tumbled" edges, inspired by the unique clay called Galestro found in the Impruneta area near Florence. This clay gives Cotto di Impruneta its distinctive color and superior technical performance. The material undergoes a "arrotatura" process with steel brushes to remove extrusion marks and create a brushed texture. After being extruded and shaped, the mixture of earth and water is dried and fired at temperatures close to 1000 degrees for 72 hours, resulting in the strength and character that defines Cotto di Impruneta as a staple of Tuscan and Italian craftsmanship.
To achieve the best results, this product is sold alongside special care and protective items that should be purchased together:
- EASYCLEANER: For walls in direct water contact, it is advisable to establish a suitable waterproof membrane on the substrate. After grouting and once the area is completely dry, surfaces should be cleaned using diluted buffered phosphoric acid (15-20%) with water to ensure optimal results for subsequent treatment.
- For walls in direct water contact, safeguard the surface with 2 coats of our EASYCARE. This natural sealer creates a hydro oil repellent membrane on the product surface.
- Floor installations require periodic revitalization based on wear and tear levels, utilizing EASYWAX either pure or diluted by 50% with water to keep them looking fresh.
