In the 1960s, 25-year-old Canadian composer and writer Leonard Cohen landed on Hydra. Here he discovered the beauty of a still untamed island and a crystal clear sea dotted with pure white sailing boats, and it was also where he met the young Marianne, who would go on to become his muse. The novels, poems and songs he wrote here were inspired by the magical location and its colours.
